Truro curved reveals

Here is a particularly unusual a challenging job. The architect had specified these windows, both large and small, for an extension to match the original building.

I often use a method of finishing window reveals in this way. It gives an aesthetically pleasing and maintenance free way of finishing slate against a window opening. However, applying this detail to a curved window is a whole other matter. Each window opening required a timber pattern to be made for me to boss prefabbed sections to be fitted on site.

A very labour intensive project, but a very satisfying result.
